Refresher Course on HKAR-66 License Category B1.1 Module 7A (M7A) – Maintenance Practices

This course is co-organised by HKIAA and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This 16-day course (with a total of 60 hours) provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to sit for the HKAR-66 B1.1 Module 7A (M7A) Maintenance Practices Examination. The course will review the selected topics on M7A and its sample questions and discuss the best practices and techniques in tackling multiple choice and answering essay questions.

Topics covered:

• Safety precaution - aircraft and workshop
• Avionic general test equipment
• Engineering drawings, diagrams and standards
• Electrical wiring interconnection system
• Material handling: sheet metal, composite and non-metallic
• Welding, brazing, soldering and bonding
• Aircraft weight and balance
• Aircraft handling and storage
• Disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly techniques
• Maintenance procedures

Remarks

• Participants shall hold a Diploma or above, with a minimum of two years of relevant working experience 
• This course is delivered face-to-face. Progress tests are employed to review the progress of learning. An 80% attendance rate is required.
