(A) General terms for course payment

Complete payment must be made prior to the course commencement. The Aviation Academy accepts credit cards, local cheques or telegraphic transfer from non-local applicants. Only Hong Kong dollars (HKD), US Dollars (USD) or Euro (EUR) are accepted. No cash payments will be accepted.

 

Local cheque should be crossed and made payable to ‘Hong Kong International Aviation Academy Limited’. Please write your transaction ID, registered email address and applicant name on the back of the cheque. Cheque without transaction ID or post-dated cheque will not be proceeded. Please mail the cheque to:

Payment proof has to be submitted via email to AcademyEnquiry@hkiaaAcademy.com at least seven calendar days prior to course commencement.

 

Substitution of applicants can be granted via email case-by-case.

(B) Refund Policy

Application fees are non-refundable. 

 

Only 80% of the course fees will be refunded if applicants submit their cancellation notice via email AcademyEnquiry@hkiaaaAcademy.com three weeks or more prior to the course commencement. Otherwise, there will be no refund.

 

In the event of the Aviation Academy cancelling the course, full course fees will be refunded to applicants through local cheques or telegraphic transfer (to non-local applicants). The Aviation Academy will cancel the course due to the following reason:

 

  • Inclement weather 
Weather warning signal Hoisting/ issuing time Class arrangement
Amber / Red rainstorm signal Anytime All classes will be held as usual
Black rainstorm signal At or after 5:30 am Morning sessions with commencement time before 2:00 pm will be suspended
At or after 10:30 am Afternoon sessions with commencement time at or after 2:00 pm but before 6:00pm will be suspended
At or after 4:00 pm Evening sessions with commencement time at or after 6:00 pm will be suspended
Typhoon no. 3 or below Anytime All classes will be held as usual
Pre-No. 8 special announcement / typhoon signal no. 8 or above At or after 5:30 am Morning sessions with commencement time before 2:00 pm will be suspended
At or after 10:30 am Afternoon sessions with commencement time at or after 2:00 pm but before 6:00pm will be suspended
At or after 4:00 pm Evening sessions with commencement time at or after 6:00 pm will be suspended

The Aviation Academy will not send additional email to notify applicants on the adverse weather arrangement.

 

  • Insufficient applicants

Cancellation of class due to insufficient applicants, The Aviation Academy will notify applicants through e-mail three weeks prior to the course commencement.

 

  • Operations reason (e.g. emergency at airport)

The Aviation Academy will notify applicants through email.

(C) Discount Policy

20% off will be given to applicants enrolling in the selected professional courses three months or more prior to the course commencement. The Aviation Academy reserves the rights to make a final decision in case of any dispute.
