Our new permanent campus, which is located on the 9th floor at HKIA Community Building (adjacent to Terminal 1) comes into service at the end of 2021. It provides 5,500-square-meter facilities incorporating new resources to accommodate more students and helping us meet the needs of participants and professionals to embark on new careers or add to their qualifications in aviation.
Rental of campus facilities is available.
Air Traffic Control Training Centre
The Air Traffic Control (ATC) Training Centre is equipped with advanced air traffic control simulators which offer realistic Aerodrome Control, Approach/Departure Control and Area Control training across a variety of traffic levels and weather conditions.
X-ray machine room
Participants can acquire the knowledge and skillsets of X-ray screening with the aid of X-ray image analysis through demonstrations and real practices.
There are various classrooms specified for aviation security training, including all kinds of examination rooms, re-certification rooms and classrooms, allowing participants to put their skills into practice.
Combined touchscreen technology to the Flight Simulator to recreate the cockpit of the latest generation civil airliner in real-life size. The simulator enables participants to familiarise various scenarios of communications between ATC controller and pilot during the flight and to enhance the learning experience.

As the largest facility in the academy, the auditorium can accommodate over 120 people. Equipped with state-of-the-art LED screens and audio-visual equipment, the auditorium's flexible layout can be adapted to various occasions. By dividing it into three independent classrooms, it is appropriate for various events.
Executive Lecture Hall
The Executive Lecture Hall has a pillar-free structure with floor-to-ceiling windows that offers a panoramic view of the airside and the Sky Bridge. Providing a spacious and comfortable place for seminars and lectures, especially for management executives.
As a full gold member of ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS programme, the Aviation Academy is equipped with ICAO-compliant classrooms which facilitate participants to conduct group discussions and presentations to further enhance their learning experience.
