Basic Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) Training

This five-day course provides underpinning knowledge on ICAO, aviation regulations, Communications, Navigation and Surveillance / Air Traffic Management (CNS / ATM) electronics systems and ATSEP roles, with the aim of preparing the ATSEP with broad knowledge and skills in aviation to further undertake qualification training and unit training.

Topics covered:

Module 1: International standards relevant to ATSEP
Module 2: Introduction to ATM
Module 3: Introduction to CNS / ATM systems
Module 4: Introduction to communications systems
Module 5: Introduction to navigation systems
Module 6: Introduction to surveillance systems
Module 7: Introduction to data processing
Module 8: System Monitoring & Control (SMC) and maintenance procedures
Module 9: Facilities
Module 10: Site visits to CNS / ATM facilities
