On 10 March 2023, the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) held graduation ceremonies for its three distinguished accredited programmes –  the Advanced Master in Air Transport Management (AMATM), the Professional Diploma in Aviation Management (PDAM), and the Diploma in Aviation Operations (DAO), at AsiaWorld-Expo.

The celebration for the AMATM programme completion commenced with the opening remarks by Mr Lam Sai-hung, Secretary of Transport and Logistics HKSAR. Mr Fred Lam, CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK); Mrs Christile Drulhe, Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau; Mr Richard Wu, Acting Director-General of Civil Aviation Department (CAD), Mr Simon Li, President of HKIAA, and Mr Nicolas Cazalis, Vice President of Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ENAC) and other distinguished guests from local carriers and business partners also attended to witness the achievements of the graduates.

The 17 international graduates from Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka gathered from diverse backgrounds to receive their certificates from HKIAA President and ENAC Vice President.

Following the graduation ceremony, HKIAA also celebrated the inauguration of its Alumni Association, which aims to create a valuable platform for students, the Academy and the wider industry to explore mutual benefits and synergies.

The excitement continued in the afternoon as the PDAM and DAO graduation ceremony followed. Along with the presentation of graduation certificates, scholarship certificates were presented to recognise outstanding students. Mr Simon Li, on behalf of HKIAA, expressed gratitude to the business partners who supported and provided DAO students with placement opportunities. Their active participation and mentorship were essential to the success of the highly practical and vocational training programme, which is widely recognised by the entire aviation industry.

Graduate representatives from both programmes also delivered speeches to encourage graduates to continue advance their knowledge and pursue their aspirations. HKIAA looks forward to meeting all the graduates again in the future and hearing more about their journey in aviation.
