This five-day course aims to build participants’ foundational knowledge of ICAO Annex 14 and the Procedures for Air Navigation Services – Aerodromes (PANS-Aerodromes), enabling proper interpretation and application in aerodrome planning, design, operation, and compliance.

Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

Interpret ICAO Annex 14 and PANS-Aerodromes guidance
Apply ICAO requirements to aerodrome data and planning
Identify physical characteristics and compliance for runways, taxiways, and aprons
Analyse pavement types, strength and friction data
Assess airport safeguarding criteria and Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS)
Understand ICAO-compliant aeronautical navigation aids and studies
