This four-day course aims to enhance participants’ understanding of key elements and best practices in airport emergency response drills, strengthening their readiness and ability to participate in exercises.
Intended Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the objectives and structure of full-scale emergency exercises.
- Identify the roles of key stakeholders in emergency planning and execution.
- Analyse the coordination and communication mechanisms involved in emergency exercises.
- Adjust crash exercise planning or facility setup based on observations of real-life emergency facilities and instructor feedback.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of emergency planning phases such as rescue, hospital coordination, and media management.
- Discuss challenges and best practices in organising and conducting airport emergency exercises.
