Who should attend

Certified security screeners (including Employees of RACSF or employees of RACSF’s screening service provider should attend refresher training every 12 months, and security screener who is found to be unfit for carrying out the screening duties, including absent from duty for 90 consecutive days or more)

X-ray Screening Refresher Training and Re-certification (Specialised Remedial Training) for Regulated Air Cargo Screening Facility (RACSF)

Specialised remedial training is required for X-ray security screeners who have failed the recertification tests. They have to complete the remedial training and pass the re-certification tests before resuming their screening duties. This training with the re-certification tests on the failed subject(s) will take about three hours, subject to the number of subjects re-seated.

Remarks

  •  RACSF shall be responsible for the operation of the screening equipment and the continuous supervision of the X-ray screeners’ performance. If any X-ray screener is found unfit for carrying out the screening duties, e.g., their certification expired or absent from duty for 90 consecutive days or more, RACSF shall report to the CB to suspend or revoke his / her certification. RACSF shall not permit such X-ray screener to perform any screening duty until he / she has received refresher training and passed written and re-certification tests conducted by a CB
