This three-day course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the essential elements and best practices required for optimal airport baggage operations, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and safety. Using Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as a reference, it examines the roles and responsibilities of various stakeholders—such as system owners, airlines, and handling agents—and shares global industry standards and benchmarks. Participants will learn to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions, drawing on international trends and experiences to drive continuous enhancement in baggage management.
Eligible applicants may apply for refund of 80% of fees after completing this approved course, subject to a maximum of HKD30,000, under the Professional Training and Examination Refund Scheme (ProTERS) of Maritime and Aviation Training Fund (MATF).
